Concession Stand
Schedules
2010 schedules will be posted after rosters are set in
March.
Each family will be responsible
for working 2-3 shifts (per registered player), depending on
the number of home games their team plays and number of
families per team. Each family will also be asked to
contribute an assigned food donation at least two times
during the season as well.
Full cooperation is greatly
appreciated.
Remember to continue checking
this website for posted schedules!
Any questions regarding
concession stand operations, contact Lori Heinlein, SVLA

Teen Worker List
A family scheduled to work
their concession shift has the opportunity to “hire” a teen
worker from the “teen worker list”. The family hiring the
teen is responsible for paying the worker $10 prior to the
start of their 2 hour shift.
Although our teen workers have
always proved to be reliable and dependable, we really want
to reiterate the need of adult workers to cover their
shifts. Adults are necessary for the management of the
concession stand, the food prep areas, and the grill.
Please check with your team parent or program-level
concessions coordinator to ensure that there is adequate
adult coverage before arranging to hire a teen. Remember,
if a scheduled shift is inconvenient to you because of other
conflicts, you may make arrangements to switch your shift
with another family for a more convenient time. Any changes
to the schedule, including the hiring of a teen worker, must
be communicated to your concessions coordinator from your
program. Communication
is key!
My son / daughter
wants to be a teen worker what do I need to do?
If you know of someone who
would like to be placed on the teen worker list, please
contact Lori Heinlein at
benzach@consolidated.net no later than 03/14/10. The
worker must be at least 13 years old, a player or sibling of
a player in the SV Lacrosse program, and have the ability to
make change. Include the name of the interested worker, a
contact phone number and email address, as well as the age
level of the lacrosse player with whom the worker is
affiliated.
2010 Concession Stand General Information
We have begun planning for the
2010 SVLA Concession Stand and, as in the past, we look to
the lacrosse parents to make this a success. We will be
asking for a small food donation and, more importantly, a
donation of your time. We had a fantastic season last year
and hope to make this year even better!
Our objective is to run an
organized and efficient concession stand, while providing a
great menu for our fans and players. The stand will be open
every home game at both the High School Stadium as well as
Graham Park, and will offer hot food, candy, chips, baked
goods and beverages.
Each player’s parent(s) will be
expected to work 2-3 scheduled games. The schedule will be
set after rosters are in place and will be posted on the
website. Please note your specific responsibility, such as
gate duty, concessions, or grill, and also if you are
assigned to bring food. Also, please plan to arrive 10
minutes prior to your scheduled shift time to ensure a
smooth transition.
Our goal is to have each family
work their concession shift before or after their son’s
game. However, due to the addition of teams at each level
this year, as well as scheduling at two venues, the task
will be a little more difficult than it was in the past.
Please keep in mind that we will work to ensure that you are
assigned a shift that doesn’t conflict with a time when your
son is playing. If you notice a conflict, please contact
your program-level concessions coordinator immediately so
that it may be resolved.
Food Donations
When asked to donate food,
please deliver it so that it is available for the shift
requested. Please bring serving utensils and label any
non-disposable items (utensils, containers, and crock posts)
with your name. You will be responsible for collecting them
after the games. If asked to bring in a hot food, please
ensure that the food item is hot and ready to be served. We
DO NOT have the means for heating food.
Some of our most popular hot
food donations include meatball sandwiches, pulled pork
sandwiches, pork or beef BBQ, chili, peirogies, and haluski.
For baked goods we suggest
cookies (Costco cookies are good and easy!), donuts, or
individually wrapped brownies or rice crispy treats.
Walking tacos (taco meat,
shredded cheddar or Mexican cheese, lettuce, salsa and sour
cream served over Fritos in a bag) and taco salads are our
biggest sellers, and therefore a staple at our concession
stand. Families will be assigned to bring a designated
amount of prepared taco meat (ground beef w/ taco
seasoning), or large bags (Costco size) of shredded cheese
and shredded lettuce.
Please remember that when asked
for time or donations, EVERYTHING benefits our boys and the
Seneca Valley Lacrosse Program.
Thank you for your help and
have a great lacrosse season! GO RAIDERS! |
