SPRING 2025 INFORMATION

Season Highlights

  • All players 8u through High School must register online by December 31, 2024 to be have a chance to play for free and receive Lottery Fundraiser Tickets to support their efforts of recouping their Spring 2025 registration fees. Lottery Ticket Books are limited, do not wait to register. 

 

  • Youth 8U through 14U uniforms are player-purchased; High school are loaned and require post-dated check as a uniform deposit. More information to come.

 

  • A US Lacrosse Membership Number, valid until at least 6/30/2025, is required for registration for 8U through High School. Check your player’s expiration or register for new player US Lax number at: https://www.uslacrosse.org/membership

 

  • Volunteer Agreement: $100 volunteer deposit check made out to SVLA  is required for each player. Checks will be post dated for 6/30/25 and dropped off to the registrar at the Admin Night/General Meeting or mailed to the Association’s PO Box before players will be allowed to take the field. The date for the meeting will be January 6. Details will be sent to families via email. Your check will only be deposited if you choose NOT to volunteer during the Spring 2025 Season. Volunteer participation will be tracked throughout the season by Board Members and Volunteer Coordinators/Team Managers. Numerous opportunities will be available to fulfill this requirement.  Opportunities will be emailed to all participants and their families.

 

  • Uniforms: If the required Black/Blue pinny is needed for this season, ORDERS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 15, 2024.  Adjustments to the uniform sizing can be made until January 8.  Pinny size CAN NOT BE CHANGED.  
    • FINAL UNIFORM ORDER WILL BE PLACED MUST JANUARY 8, 2025.

Payment Options

  • Payment options available during registration include Credit/Debit Card, ACH and Check.

  • INSTALLMENT PAYMENTS: You have an option of paying for your players registration in installments, when choosing to pay with a debit/credit card.  A $100 deposit, per player, will be required at checkout as your first installment payment.
    • Installment payments are as follows:

      • $100 (per player) is due at time of registration. You will receive 1 book of tickets for the fundraiser and will only be eligible to recoup $100 of your registration.  You will NOT be eligible for additional fundraiser tickets to cover the rest of your registration fee.

      • The installment balance will be divided into 4 equal payments due on the following dates: 11/15/2024; 12/15/2024; 1/15/2025; 2/15/2024. *A transaction fee is applied to each installment payment.

  • All registration payments are required to be paid in full by 2/15/2025.

  • Players with outstanding balances not be able to take the field until balances are paid.

  • Refund Policy: Refunds on registrations completed before 12/31 will only be given to players who opted NOT TO TAKE POSSESSION OF ANY LOTTERY TICKET BOOKS and chose NOT to participate in the lottery fundraiser. Any additional participation fee, such as the optional winter training, can be  fully refunded for that player.

Registration / Lottery Tickets

 

  • In order to allow sufficient time to roster teams and coaches, schedule practices and games and order/receive uniforms, SVLA is requiring registration for all players 8U through High School no later than December 15th, 2024..

 

  • Online registrations for NEW Players not completed by December 16th will not have an opportunity to choose their player number. One will be assigned to them.

 

  • Registration will close on the dates below. Placement on a team will not be guaranteed after this date and will depend on available roster space:
    • High School – January 15, 2024
    • MS/Youth Programs (14U-8U) – March 1, 2025

Lottery Tickets:

Winners will be determined based upon the PA Lottery during the month of March 2025 based upon the Pick 4 drawings. Deadline to register and receive books: 12/31/24

Each $100 ticket book contains 10 tickets, each sold for $10.  Each player will receive up to 3 books* of 10 tickets to sell to friends and family.  If you sell all of your fundraising tickets, you keep the sales money and you will have recouped your Spring 2025 registration fee. Sign up early as there are a limited number of tickets available.

Ticket books to be picked up at Admin Night January 6 or will be mailed out to players. Families that wish to participate in the chance to play for FREE will not receive a refund if the player withdraws from the SVLA program unless there’s extenuating circumstances.

 

Winning tickets:

The original owner (before sale) will be contacted.  It will be their responsibility to contact the winner that the ticket was sold to. Winning ticket stubs must be returned for payout. You may also choose to support the association by not accepting winning payouts.

 

Opt out of Lottery Tickets:

There is an option during registration to choose not to receive lottery ticket books if you would prefer.

Equipment Requirements

All players 8U through High School will be required to have the following equipment for all practices and games, SVLA does not provide this equipment:

  • Helmet
  • Stick
  • Gloves
  • Cleats/Shoes
  • Athletic cup/Protective Cup
  • Arm pads
  • Shoulder pads (USA Lacrosse requires shoulder pads to meet NOCSAE ND200 requirements)
  • Mouthguard

Uniforms

UNIFORM DEPOSITS- HIGH SCHOOL ONLY:

  • Each High School player must turn in a post-dated check (6/1/2025) prior to receiving his uniform.
  • The uniform deposit is $200 per player, payable to “SVLA” and post-dated to 6/1/2025. 
  • This check is held until end of the season and destroyed once the uniform has been returned. 
  • Checks will be collected by Connie Ketler, High School Coordinator, at uniform handout.

YOUTH PLAYER PURCHASE UNIFORMS - YOUTH ONLY:

  • Returning players can use their uniforms from 2023, 2024 or purchase new packages or pieces.
  • New players will purchase the new uniform package during the online sale. 
  • This uniform will include a reversible jersey, shorts, shooter shirt and practice pinny and will be purchased and owned by the player. There will also be a 3 piece option to include jersey, shorts and practice pinny. A la carte options will also be available.
  • Numbers for new players will be assigned on a first come, first served basis via registration.
  • IF A BLACK/BLUE PINNY IS NEEDED FOR THIS SEASON, ORDERS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 15, 2024.
  • FINAL UNIFORM ORDERS WILL BE PLACED BY JANUARY 8, 2025.

Season Start Dates/Times

  • YOUTH (8U through 14U)
  • Indoor practices at North Park Sports Complex (Bubble).
  • 90 to 120-minute (TBD) team practice slots will be February from 11:00 - 1:00 pm 
  • Please save the dates and time slots of 
    • February 2, 2025
    • February 9, 2025
      • (above Dates are optional add-on dates during registration - $100)
    • February 16, 2025
    • February 23, 2025
    • March 2, 2025
    • March 9, 2025

These indoor practices are evaluation sessions used to determine rostering. It is essential that efforts be made to attend the late February and early March indoor practices for evaluation purposes.

Team-specific details will be distributed in early mid March. 

Outdoor practices will begin mid-March pending field conditions and availability. Practices will be held at Lindner Fields or Haine School until Graham Park opens in April. Turf practices may be added at Diesel Sports Complex or the high school based on availability. 

  • 8U and 10U: Mondays and Wednesdays

  • 12U: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

  • 14U: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

Times for all: 5:30 – 7:00 to begin the season with a transition to 6:00 – 7:30 pm pending daylight savings.

HIGH SCHOOL:

  • Winter Training Week and bubble days:  $150 REQUIRED for all players

    • Payment for training will be a part of the Spring Registration.
  • Deadline for paperwork is February 20th.
  • Spring Season begins March 3, 2025.
